kleine herzen

kleine herzen (little hearts) is a non-profit association which supports children living in economically disadvantaged countries. We care of the youngest in our society who are in need and cannot speak for themselves. We want to make it possible for orphaned and abandoned children to live in their native country under socially wholesome conditions in loving and secure surroundings and to receive education.
We are convinced that orphaned and abandoned children grow up best in their own culture, in their own country and in a family environment. Our objective is to help and support this as much as possible. Unfortunately, this possibility is not always given to these children due their country’s poverty and the insufficient social infrastructure.

kleine herzen was founded in Austria in December 2006 with the mission to support children living in economically disadvantaged countries, especially children coming from the countries of the former Soviet Union.  Pascale Vayer, a member of kleine herzen Executive Board, has herself adopted 3 children and has helped with the adoption of more than 50 children from Russia giving them a new start in a happy family life.

The Executive Board of kleine herzen is in charge of the association's operative activities. The Advisory Board has a consulting function, and the Board of Trustees is made up of top-class specialists providing a strong network.
